Saab denies bankruptcy

Eternal. Endless. Almost exhausting. This happens to be the complicated story of the legendary and iconic Saab home. From time immemorial we have been reading stories, intrigues, echoing rumors and all things related to Saab. Other buyers, not buyers, the thing never gives the feeling of calm and so it has come to the current instance with a rumor that has been looking a lot more than that. Is that Saab has had to move fast and had to go out and announce the four winds is in the throes of bankruptcy, but for that to be credible was it necessary for China Youngman’s house with an injection or more or less, 10 million euros on Wednesday October 12, 2011, to cope with the needs of the month and be able to continue forward.
As will be seen, Saab announced that the word bankruptcy is not part of their lexicon today, but the financial support of one of its investors has been more than necessary for the Swedes still alive (on life, but life at last … ).

The only difference is that now it has become quite official: Pininfarina, the mythical, legendary and traditional Italian coachbuilder, it ceases to produce cars for just being a design studio and engineering only.

The ups and downs of the market and the different situations that go through each of the companies that at some point have had a relationship with Pininfarina, have conspired to make that happen very much.

Skoda Citigo: Began production in Bratislava

Just recently we presented in partnership with the Friends of Cars 2.0 to the new vehicle small Skoda citizen was to place in the automotive market, we talk about the Skoda Citigo. Today comes the news of the actual start of production of the model in the city of Bratislava (Slovakia). The model hits the streets to be sold by the brand in the Czech Republic and make it in this way over other vehicles similar in kind, such as the Volkswagen Up! SEAT and Mii.
The Skoda Citigo will be launched in the Czech Republic during the month of December 2011, while his arrival in various other European automotive markets is planned for the summer in the old continent.

Mercedes Benz has surprised with its impressive and timely simply indescribable hatchback coupe, the sporty Mercedes Benz CLS, something beyond belief. But it was not there and right now we have the opportunity to enjoy the new version with which the house of Stuttgart returns to the fray … and with the best weapons. This is the familiar version, or if you prefer Estate, the CLS inspired by this fantastic opportunity in the Fascination concept 2008 and CLS Shooting Brake in 2010.

Even its name is not known definitively, but there is no doubt that we are in the expected Mercedes Benz CLS Shooting Brake 2013, which almost certainly will be rolling down the street from the second half of 2012, despite being presented at the Geneva Motor Show soon. Its release will be slightly behind who knows why …

 Increase sales of electric cars in Spain

The electric car sales in Spain rose nearly 600% in the first half of the year, from 21 units in 2010 to 122 this year.

Despite the large increase in sales in our country, they are still far from those of other European countries, where they got sold a total of 5222 electric cars that meet the 507 units sold in the previous period, an increase of over 1000%. Germany tops the charts with 1020 vehicles sold, followed closely by France and Norway managed to sell 953 and 850 vehicles respectively.

Gareth Hession, research vice president at Jato Dynamics, believes the European market for electric cars is strongly affected by the high prices of these vehicles and therefore its implementation is at a very early stage.
